These “Lime Cooler” Earrings feature gorgeous Vintage Lucite flat teardrop-shaped beads that have pearlized swirls on their surface – much like mother of pearl. To complement the vintage lucite, I’ve added adorable Czech flower beads, Swarovski peridot crystals and Czech glass rondelles in lime green. The earrings measure a very showy 2-1/4 inches long, including the graceful 14k gold plated earwires.

I’ve had several requests asking me to more clearly explain the rules for entering the weekly giveaway, so I’d like to do that right here and now. Please let me know if there are more questions. I want it to be easy and fun for you to enter! 🙂

This week, you will have up to six (6) chances to enter the weekly giveaway.

Leave a comment answering the second weekly question: What’s your birthstone and would you change it if you could? To what?

3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Chances:

Giveaway – “Lime Cooler” Earrings — 102 Comments

  1. Best yard sale find? Our changing table that has lasted through 2 babies. It was $5. My birthstone is turquoise and I love it!

  2. Sheesh – I’m such a clearance and thift-store junkie! I’ve found SO many great deals!! I guess it would have to be my favorite pair of pants, retailed for $45 and I got them for $7 in the thrift store! WOOHOOO!

    Thanks!

  3. My birthstone is amethyst…..and I’m pretty OK with that. I think it is a pretty stone. 🙂

  4. What’s the best bargain you’ve ever found at any store, yard sale/tag sale, or thrift shop?
The best bargain I found, atleast in a while, was yesterday, nonetheless. Ran into the store not looking for anything in particular but came across a large hammer basket for our master bedroom, price $50. Well, kinda high for the fact that one of it’s rope handles were a little worn. Once I got to the counter I explained to the checker the worn handle. When she started to give me 10% off the price, it rang up as $10. Confused by it, I asked the checker about it. Her response was amazing! Well, since there is no one to cover for me and there is a very long line. I will let you have it for $10! ….Score!

  5. What’s your birthstone and would you change it if you could? To what?
Aquamarine-March. I would trade any day for Diamond-April and to think I only missed the month by one stinking day! 🙂

  6. The best bargain I’ve ever gotten is when I went to a shoe boutique a few years back. Now, I don’t have cute little dainty feet like most girls, on a good day I can fit into a 10.5…sometimes an 11. Anyway, I was shopping, and of course they have nothing out front in my size. I ask a clerk is they have anything that could fit, so she takes me in the back room, and shows me shoes in my size, thing is, they were from several seasons ago…as of then, they’d stopped buying larger sizes. So I was able to take home several pairs from 50 cents to about $2.00. I even got a pair of boots for $5. I was a happy camper that day.

  7. My birthstone is a ruby. Red happens to be my least fave color. =[ If I could change it, I’d want Peridot(Aug), Citrine(Nov), or Opal(Oct).

Anything other than what I already have.

  8. My birthstone is an emerald. (My bday is May 11!!) I love the green color, but would love to have diamond as my birthstone because it goes with everything! (April)

  9. I found a very expensive mobile for my son for $12. They were retailing for $45-50. He LOVED it and the changing table became a favorite spot!

  10. My birthstone is the peridot which is light green. Green is my favorite color so if I were to change I’d change to the emerald (may).

  11. You’ll laugh, but the best bargain I ever got was on Coke. The store was having a 4 for $10 sale at the same time Coke was offering a $10 rebate on Coke purchases. So I got 4 12-packs of Coke for free. I’m a Coke addict, so I was in HEAVEN!

  12. My birthstone is the Ruby, I believe. I don’t know that I’d change it, but simply because I don’t really care enough about birthstones… Perhaps a Sapphire, because blue is my favorite color.

  13. I don’t even KNOW my birthstone!!! I am too lazy to google it. I think it’s opal.. what is an opal even? I have no idea.

  14. I found a bridal doll that is the clone of one my Mom had as a child, and had lost in a fire. I bought it so that I can one day give it to a daughter, or grand-daughter if my son ends up being my only kiddo.

  15. The best bargain I have ever found at a thrift store was at my local Good Will store. I got a nearly brand new Fisher Price learn and Groove kids toy table which retails for $45-$50 for $8. It was in perfect condition and both my children used it and loved it.

  16. My birthstone is Topaz which is for November, although it is not my favorite I do not think I would ever change it because I LOVE being a november birthday girl. Im a Scorpio through and through.

  17. I got the most gorgeous pair of shoes last summer. They were regular price of 60.00 and marked down to half price..from there it was an extra 70% off. What a steal!!!!

  18. I just want to start off by saying that I love those earring! I guess the best find lately was a pair of brand new looking jeans for $3 for me. My birthstone is the pearl and I wouldn’t change it!

  19. I got a great handbag for only $5.00. It was on a clearance and then you could off 50% of the sale price. I had a coupon for $10.00 off on any purchase over $10 at the store and so it was only $5! Great

  20. the best sale i found was nine west heels at goodwill for $8. they were gorgeous!

  21. My birthstone is peridot…..and I’m pretty OK with that. Maybe I would prefer emerald if I had a chance!!
I love the earrings and your shop on Etsy:)
    Thanks.

  22. The best bargain I ever found that I can remember was a pair of primigi boots for my daughter on sale at Garnet Hill. My memory stinks though, I’m sure there are better bargains!

  23. I spin yarn, and at an Alpaca festival once I found eight ounces of suri alpaca roving for $4… Maybe that doesn’t mean much to a spinner, but suri alpaca is seriously luxury and that’s a lot of yarn! It was a total steal, and I guess you can’t get any cheaper than straight from the farm.

  24. I’m an April baby, so my birthstone is diamond. I don’t like it very much, because I’ve always been a bigger fan of colored stones, plus I’m not very pleased with the cultural obsession we have with diamonds. My mom’s birthstone is opal… I’d prefer that! So pretty, so sparkly, so colorful yet goes with anything.

  25. The best bargain I got was at Kohl’s this year. They sent me a $20 birthday coupon and I found 2 pillows and 2 candles on sale for a grand total of $20! Cost me a little change in sales tax!

  26. My April birthstone is the diamond. The only thing I would change is the price!

  27. my birthstone is amethyst and i would change it to diamonds cuz heck who wouldn’t love diamonds!

  28. the best bargin i have ever found was a $1500 purse for only $150!!!!

  29. My birthstone is the peridot. I like it but would LOVE for my stone to be the diamond!!!

  30. My birthstone is opal. I love the opal but have no jewelry that is opals. Maybe I should change that someday. I’ll have to hint to my family.

  31. Long sad story, but I chanced upon an estate sale of a quilter. The sale hadn’t advertised fabric, so it was a lifetime accumulation of top-end fabric was still left. I bought more than $3000 worth of fabric for $200. It completely filled TWO cars, trunks, backseats and passenger seat!

  32. My birthstone is pearl – I don’t think I’d change it – I’m used to it and I like that it is somewhat traditional.

  33. Best deal? Two large Pampered Chef stoneware pizza stones and a rack for $2 AND a large Pampered Chef stoneware bar pan and cookie sheet for two more dollars.

  34. I like to have ladies over for tea. When I do, I like to serve it in pretty cups. One of my best deals was a sale at a church. Someone must have been getting rid of all their china because I picked up 3 beautiful cups for about $12.00!

  35. My birthstone is opal. I wouldn’t mind it being diamonds; but I have received a lot more opals than diamonds so I can’t complain too much! I think most people are quite happy with their birth stone.
