Giveaway – Cherry Sorbet Earrings

Hello, Hello! 😀

Well, it seems that last week’s question, regarding which household task you dislike the most, had two popular answers.

“Cleaning the bathroom” was one chore mentioned frequently – which is surely understandable!

However I was surprised to see that “ironing” was also listed several times! I didn’t realize that there was much ironing going on out there, anymore. It was very interesting to learn that even though you hate it, it’s still a chore on the to-do list. Personally, I try to buy things that need little or no ironing, whenever I can, but if I must iron – I do. 😉

OK, on to the weekly giveaway!

This time it’s a sparkling pair of earrings that are as cheerful as a summer picnic!

These adorable bunches of “cherries” feature bright red faceted crystals, which are accented with peridot-green crystal leaves. The stones are set in a silvertone metal, and the graceful earwires are sterling silver.

Overall measurement: 1-3/8” in length.

Contest Rules and How To Enter

Any day you leave a comment on this blog – it is counted as a chance to enter that week’s giveaway.

For example, if you answer today’s question (you’ll find it below!) that will give you one chance.

But if you then come back another day this week and comment on a different post – you will have earned another chance in this week’s giveaway! There are usually 4-5 posts per week – Monday through Friday – so you can have multiple chances to enter!

When you comment you do not have to mention that it’s an entry in the giveaway. My blog program shows me all of the “comments” as they come in – so I do not miss any of them, and all will count to be entered into the drawing! 😀

Today’s question is:

Name something that you collect and please tell us about it. 😀

Giveaway – Cherry Sorbet Earrings — 55 Comments

  1. I don’t think I collect anything, unless “books” counts. With all the books and art supplies, I don’t have room for anything like a collection!

I do seem to have quite an assortment of journals. I use them to keep track of things I need to do, you see- and I keep misplacing them. But with ENOUGH journals I don’t have to remember where I put my journals!:P

  2. Good Morning!!
Your cute little earrings sure do look like cherries!

I would never had said ironing. Why, because I don’t iron? NOT!

I have my favorite present from my husband that I use almost every day to press a shirt for work. Its the handy dandy Steamfast Presser which is hard to describe but its like a small ironing board with a presser lid that you turn on, heat up, lay out the item to be pressed, lower the lid and vawlah!!! Instant press. I have thanked Terry tons of times for it. I just had to mention that.

What do I collect? Well, I used to collect a lot more than I do today. At 58 I am trying to divest myself of stuff like my Hallmark Ornament collection, Snoopy toys that topped Brachs Candy, Waterglobes which I LOVE, Christmas Houses. You got the picture…I collect.

So, I will mention my collection of clothes labels. O, you think I like to LOOK at them.. Nope. Do I think they will be valuable some day…..Nope again.

I am collecting labels because when I have enough, I will sew them on a fabric background creating a fabric panel to make into yet another unusual purse.

This is going to take a long time!

    Have a great, great day!!

  3. Oh how those cherries sparkle!

Collect – it seems I am very good at collecting dust….. though I try mightily not to do so.

Intentional collections are would you believe hats 😀 and sewing patterns 😀 ……. now I also sell both of those things, but the sales are an offshoot of the collecting mania. And you know what? being a “dealer” allow me to handle lots more of each thing.

  4. I love shoes and jewelry – my two weaknesses. But they’re not a true collection. I don’t ‘collect’ anything in particular. Let me tell you why.My Mother used to collect bells. She had bells from all over the country, different sizes, different colors, etc. She had two large curio cabinets filled. She had bells on the TV, on the kitchen counter, on window sills, on end tables, in the bathroom, and her bedroom. When she passed away she left all her bells to my daughter. To make a long story short, I now have boxes of bells in my basement because no one knows what to do with them. Therefore I don’t collect anything. My Mother cured me of that desire!
Do you or any of your readers have any suggestions on what to do with bells?

  5. Morning Crystal!

Oh, those earrings are soooo sweet! They brought instant smiles!

I have lots of little collections. Let’s see, I love red/pink and white/ivory transferware dishes. I’m forever picking up new ones here and there at shops like Marshall’s and TJ Max for a few dollars. Even though they don’t “match”, they look so pretty together in my china closet and on the den wall.

Don’t forget to tell us about your collecting!

    Have a fun day Sweetie!
    Paulette xoxo

I used to collect weird lighters…oddly shaped and unique lighters. I don’t smoke, but I just think people come up with some pretty clever ways to make fire come out of those little things. I like flicking them on. I think I’m over that collecting phase.

    Have a great day!

  19. Probably my worst collection is tiny bowls. I love them, they’re affordable, and I find them in all kinds of shapes and colours.. but there’s only so many wee dishes a person can use. Right now I’ve managed to narrow it down to a few stacks of lotus blossom bowls, and a few lovely saki cups. But everytime I find another, I want it!

  25. I have a collection of tea pots
to make me happy. I made one
of the metal tea pots into a water
fountain a few years ago. I’m trying
