Friday Favorites

For week’s Friday Favorites, I have a wonderful quotation for you . . .

“We can’t all be heroes because somebody has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by.” — Will Rogers

Such wise words! And when you stop and think about it, it’s a reminder to cheer on the unsung “heroes” in our own lives, too!

Have a lovely weekend!

See you Monday for the new questions. 🙂

Along came a spider… Friday Favorites

This week’s Friday Favorites features a photo.

Imagine turning on your computer in the morning and finding a picture of your kid holding a tarantula!

That’s exactly what happened to me – look!

Well, ok, she’s a “grown up” – but she’s still my kid!

Can you believe the size of that spider? And how about those furry legs?

Eeeeeeks!!!!

As it turns out, our daughter met “Sophie” while writing an article about a zoo in Switzerland, where visitors can get “up close and personal” with many of the animals.

It sounds like a nice program . . . if you’re brave.

I think she must have inherited the spider-holding gene from her father! 😉

Speaking of fathers . . .

Happy Father’s Day to all of the Dads!

See you on Monday with the new questions!

Friday Favorites – Rockwell’s Gift

hearts-border31

Norman Rockwell was always the first one to call himself an “illustrator” and not a fine artist. All I know is he had an amazing talent for capturing the ordinary little scenes and events of everyday life in such a realistic way that they almost seem to jump off the canvas!

After touring the Rockwell Museum this week, I just knew I’d have to choose some of his art for this week’s Friday Favorites.

It was difficult to decide, but here are a few charmers. 🙂
