It’s Christmastime in the City

Last week, Sir Beads and I went into Boston for a little Christmas shopping. It’s always fun to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle – not to mention the extra-special decorations – of the city during holiday season.

This year, we decided to make an occasion of it by booking a hotel and spending a couple of days wrapped-up in the Christmas ambiance! We found a few gifts for the family, had a couple of delicious meals, and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to relax a little, too.

I have a few photos to show you. (For the best view, remember to click on them!) 🙂

These HUGE ornaments hang in the atrium of the Prudential Center Mall. I especially love those giant ornament hooks!

To get an idea of the ornament’s size – notice how small the people at the bottom of the picture look in comparison!

Here’s a corner of the hotel lobby – festively dressed for the holidays. They were serving hot cocoa with marshmallows by that cozy fire, which was quite inviting after a long stroll in the chilly afternoon air.

And finally, a little oasis we encountered . . . complete with bubbling waters over polished stones. Can you spot the shiny coins on the ledge? They were tossed in by shoppers making a wish.

Speaking of wishes . . .

Sir Beads and I wish a very Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it!

And may each one of us have a New Year filled with friends, family and fun! xoxoxo

See you in 2013 🙂
