Giveaway – Paper Art Gift Set

Welcome to Week 47 of my weekly giveaways!!

Most often, the prize is jewelry!!! But this time I have a little surprise. πŸ™‚

Remember a couple of weeks ago when we all went shopping…. and I found some lovely pumpkin gift tags that were created by etsy artist, FrenchCountry?

Well, she has graciously offered to sponsor this week’s giveaway with a sweet 10-piece assortment of her paper art!

First, we have a Set of 2 French-inspired Bookmarks (or large tags) made on high quality pink card stock, handstamped with walnut ink using script and musical sheet background, feminine motives, butterflies, Paris inspired stamps, and dresses and lace. The edges have been shaded with coordinating ink for a more vintage feel. The sheer pink ribbon gives these tags a touch of elegance!

Giveaway – Paper Art Gift Set — 26 Comments

  1. This is a good question. I have been creatively thinking up handmade presents for the boys and my daughter. Laurie is easy. The boys are a little more difficult. However, I will be making string backpacks. The boys like to take these on sleepovers and to the gym when they don’t need much to take. I’ll have to decide what I will put on the front, but I’ll probably make a few. I have a few other things in mind too.

  2. Well, my favorite quote of all time is from the Wizard of Oz when the Wicked Witch says “Don’t make me get my flying monkeys”. Well, maybe she never said it, but I ALWAYS do.

Then there is that line from Gone with the Wind…
“I don’t know nuthin bout birthin no babies” Another thing I say quite often.

O, a serious quote. Well, can’t think of one at the moment that had a profound effect on me. However, the Serenity Prayer is of special meaning to me and has helped me to bring my demons under control.

  3. I’m trying to make more of our gifts because I was given huge bags of yarn and I don’t know what to do with them- not because of the economy, but that’s not a bad reason either!

  4. A quote that means a lot to me is, “Never let a problem to be fixed be more important than a person to be loved.” I remember that with my daughter. She needs me to show her love unconditionally despite whatever she might get herself into.

  5. Yes, I will be making some Christmas gifts for nieces & nephews. I plan on fabric painting tees for them. Thanks for the chance to win those gorgeous tags!

  6. “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending” (by: Maria Robinson).
This quote gives me alot of hope and allows me to not despair when I make a mistake.

  7. With the current economic conditions, will you be trying to make more of your gifts for this holiday season and the year ahead?
I don’t think so. I always love to make gifts myself. I knit or sew or sometimes crochet something.

  8. With the current economic conditions will you be trying to ake more of your gifts this holiday season?

Yes, a few. On top of the bad economy, we also live 9+ hours away from home, so we’re factoring in gas for the drive, so gift giving has gotten cut down. My husband made our niece and nephew each a large pillow, I’m hoping to make nephew a cape, niece another tutu, and then the whole family no-sew blankets.

  9. Favorite quote/saying – my husband and I have a lot between the two of us, but the one that we’ve said a lot the past year and a half since he got out the Army was “Follow your Bliss”.

  10. I rarely gave handmade gifts… until I learned to string beads and do peyote. Now I am delighted to share my creations with my loved ones. One has asked that I teach her how to make beaded jewelry.

BTW, love the tags. Very generous of FrenchCountry.

  11. I have a LOT of fabric and my goal is to get a lot of it used up this fall. I’m not sure what I am going to make yet! I also have some fleece to make some no sew blankets.

  12. I love her paper creations! A quote that means a lot to me is Psalm 46:10-
“Be still and know that I am God.”
Many thanks for this wonderful giveaway…..Cindi

  13. I am making all our Christmas gifts this year and will likely be making many of our gifts for the next year as well. It is partly due to the economy and partly due to wanting to give more personalized gifts.

  14. A favorite quote of mine is, “Do not give up what you want in the future for what you want now.” It affects many of my decisions in all aspects of my life. It makes me look at long-term affects of every decision I make.

  15. Hi Crystal! What lovely things from French Country. Everything is so adorable!!!

First question’s answer….I don’t think I’ll be making more gifts than usual. I wish I could, but I know I can’t! I can’t think of anything I could make for my guys. πŸ™‚

  16. It’s me again! I remember a long, long time ago, watching a black and white movie about a Quaker family, and the mother in that movie (I’m so sorry, I don’t know the name of it…I’m thinking maybe The Angel and The Badman, but I’m not so sure) well, she said this when someone was leaving. “God bless thee and keep thee safely always”. I really loved that, and I’ve said it time and time again to myself whenever someone leaves my house. AND, I have a new one I just learned today over at Elviestudio. Someone left Lori a comment which contained this one…
“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” -Dr. Seuss How Perfect! Hugs, Paulette πŸ˜‰

  17. I will definitely be making more homemade gifts this year. I’m especially going to be experimenting with paper crafts and soap making.

  18. The quotation that has changed my life the most is:

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” -Gandhi

  19. Hi, Crystal! I just wanted to thank you again for doing this Giveaway! You are so generous! I really enjoy your blog and I check in every day to see what’s new! I feel honored to participate in the Giveaway and I can’t wait to see who’s the winner! I’ve also seen your wonderful bead work, what beautiful pieces! Great ideas for the Holiday Gift List! I’m working on mine right now!

Please keep up the great blogging!
    Love,

    Claudia from FrenchCountry!

  20. I have always made a large portion of the gifts I give at holidays and birthdays. So, no, I won’t be doing more, probably just about the same. πŸ™‚

  21. One of my favorite quotes is from Michelangelo:
“If people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery, it wouldn’t seem so wonderful at all.”
It reminds me to never give up, we all have to work hard!

  22. I wish I was more crafty to make my holiday gifts. I want to give it a try. I would love to make ornaments this yr, too. I think it would be fun! I will be cutting back from holiday buying. This yr, I would like for everyone to draw names for christmas. Wish me luck on that. lol great giveaway!
