Door Decor

I love the look of a home with a decorated front door.

It’s not only attractive – it’s an expression of “Welcome”, too.

Have you ever seen something really creative and then asked yourself:

“Why didn’t I think of that?”

I sure have. Here, let me show you my latest example . . .

Wouldn’t this be a fun way to greet your summertime guests?

A length of hose, some garden gloves, a few flowers, and a little bird combine to make a unique and very charming wreath!

All credit goes to Amy (and her Mom). You’ll find a short tutorial for putting this wreath together on her blog.

Hugs,

  1. Very cute idea!
I used to dress up our front door, but we replaced a wood front door with two patio doors on the front porch that is now a deck across the front of the house. I do decorate the siding between the doors, but with something earthy and seasonal and LOTS of flowers on the deck.

Are you roasting in this heat? Not me!!
    xx, Carol

  2. Yes, Carol,
As we say here in New England – the heat has been “wicked”!!!
I’ll try to wait a few more weeks, but then I’ll be talking AUTUMN! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Enjoy this classic summer, Sweet Lady, xoxo

  3. No one uses our front door, they always come thru the garage. I decorate the inside of the front door during the holidays.

I love this idea it is so cute. I would use it in the space between the garage doors. I decorate that because everyone sees it.

We are holding our breath here, the temps have been in the low 80’s for the highs and very little humidity. I cannot believe how nice it is during July. I’m almost afraid to write this because I’m scared it will end. I hope your sweltering temps end soon.

  4. Oh yes, Kelly!
The garage or any part of the house is great to decorate!

Like you, I also enjoy decorating the inside of a door at the holidays. It makes people smile as they get ready to leave.

I will cross my fingers that your lovely temps continue. ๐Ÿ™‚ xoxo

  5. What a cute wreath! I always have a pretty wreath on my front door. It gives the house such a welcoming feel and they’re so fun to make! Hope you’re keeping cool, Crystal. ๐Ÿ˜‰ xoxo
