Christmas Ornament Giveaway

Happy Monday, Kids! 😀

Hope you had a merry weekend!

It was busy, busy, busy, here – as Sir Beads and I scurried around the stores searching for Christmas gifts. I’m not quite finished, but the list is getting shorter. You could say that I’m on schedule. 😉

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had my shopping complete in early December. Still, every year, right around this time, I *promise* myself that “next year” I’ll be finished by Thanksgiving. Maybe in 2011! LOL

Speaking of presents . . . how about a giveaway!!??!!

I’d love to send this sparkling beaded ornament to one of you!!!

It was such fun to make! I used Swarovski Crystals in a beautiful shade of teal blue, along with Swarovski Cream Glass Pearls, and golden glass seed beads. The ornament measures a very showy 3-1/4 inches long – so it will definitely attract attention as it glitters on the Christmas tree! Whether you keep it for yourself or give it to someone special, it’s sure to become a cherished keepsake.

Christmas Ornament Giveaway — 22 Comments

  1. Oooh, what a lovely ornament! You know, I haven’t found my 2010 ornament. I get one every year…hmmm…
I don’t have ONE favorite tradition, though! It’s all tied together! I have to listen to carols while I’m decorating the tree so I can watch the specials while I decorate cookies next to a decorated tree with lots of presents under it! Christmas is all about doing everything fun all at once!

  2. My favorite Christmas tradition started about 10 years ago.

When during a family meeting, it was decided it was NO LONGER necessary to buy Christmas gifts for EVERY Tom, Dick and Harry IN THE ENTIRE FAMILY, including cats, dogs, pet rocks, etc.

Up until that point, each family felt obligated to buy gifts for everyone in every family. Talk about a shot budget. And paper cuts while wrapping so many gifts.

Now we buy just for our own immediate family and for the most senior members and new babies. The old and the new. 😀

  3. Beautiful ornament Crissie. You know I love that color!!

Christmas Traditions…hard to answer that this year. So I’ll tell you one of years past. There is a sub-division in our area that is more exclusive homes. Each year the residents REALLY deck out their houses…lights and plenty of animation. Its not a contest, they just do it. Cars line up every night to drive by. Our tradition when my daughter was small was to get in line to drive through on Christmas Eve. She continued that tradition when her kids were little.

    Have a great week.

  4. A few years ago we decided not to buy for the adults, only the children. Boy, that took so much stress out of the holiday (and saved some money).

One of my best memories is on Christmas Eve one of my dear friends has a Christmas Eve Open House. We all bring a dish, the family and our hugs and kisses. We laugh, eat and catch up with news of each other. It is so wonderful to see the children, and our friends. It’s relaxing and important.

  5. What a beautiful ornament, I’m sure it would look so pretty with the sun shining on it thru the window in the daytime and the lights on it at night. Thank you so much for sharing it with one of your lucky readers. Good luck finishing the rest of your shopping.

My favorite it going out to eat with my husband’s side of the family on Christmas eve. No one has to cook anything and we can take the time to eat and visit. Aftwords my husband and I go and look at the lights. I also love the Jingle Bell Dog walk that was last Saturday. It is the 1st Saturday of the month and my cousin’s husband and I work on the costume Thanksgiving day and everyone pitches in with their ideas. This year we made him a Christmas tree costume and he won the ”
Best Holiday” costume catagory. Great way to kick off the holidays and its for a good cause too.

    This weeks celebrations include:
December 06 – St. Nicholas Day
December 07 – National Cotton Candy Day & National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day
December 08 – National Brownie Day
December 09 – National Pastry Day

  7. One of my most favourite Christmas traditions is to watch Christmas comedies with my family!!!

  8. my favorite christmas tradition is opening one gift on christmas eve (it is always an ornament) which i then put on my christmas tree to decorate. I get an ornament every year from my mom and grandmother 🙂

  9. My boys are grown now and often have other places to be. We celebrate on Christmas Eve with a prime rib dinner with all the trimmings! The boys always look forward to this dinner!

  10. My family has always purchased an ornament for each year. I have ornaments from the 60’s and my kids have one for every year. This year one is getting a Patrick Kane ornament (Go Blackhawks!) and the other got an Illini fan ornament (he graduated from U of I). The boys take these oranments with them when they move away. One son has taken his and the other son’s are still on our tree.

  11. My fave Christmas tradition is going hiking with my family on Christmas Eve morning! Such fun!
