Circles and Squares

Remember a couple of months ago when I showed you these?

I had whipped them up one evening as I was delaying waiting to make dinner. 😉 I called the post Playing Hooky and you can find it here.

Since then, they’ve acquired a few new friends….

I plan to make a pillow – I’ve even bought the pillow form – but I still need to make the reverse side.

At the same time, I’m working on a coordinating pillow that, believe it or not, will be round when it’s finished!

This summer has been a little on the warm side to have yarn on my lap, but there’s nothing like a cool autumn evening to squeeze in a little relaxation . . . and knit or crochet or do anything else you think is fun! 🙂

Smiles,

  1. I love the colors and its great that you are making a round one to match. I admire your skill and style.

We are supposed to have a cool front after it gets finished raining. It would be so nice to sit outside and have a picnic. I have been working on homework so crafts will have to wait awhile, so I will just enjoy yours.

  2. Hi Crissie
I love the color combo too. I don’t choose green too much unless I am making something for KY, my green NUT! It is the perfect accent in this combo for sure.

Its almost time to start my winter scarf project. Seems like just yesterday that I was working on last year’s. I think I’m about a month out though. Don’t see much chilly weather in our forcast.

  3. I hate to knit or crochet – tried both – what a failure.
But I love the colors you chose.
A cousin knitted me a red, white and blue king sized bedspread!! it’s lovely but I’m in awe that she gave it to me – I know the time she spent making it.

  4. Very lovely, i’m sure the end result will look fantastic! Don’t forget to share pictures, i’m curious to see how that zig zag is gonna become a circle.

  5. Oh wow. That is so nice. I have a goal to make a baby blanket before the year is out. It will be the first thing attempted since high school home ec. Wish me luck!

  6. Love your ripple stitches. Your decreases are spot on. Perfect points.

I was thinking just yesterday that I needed to get back started with my crocheting. And our weather turned cool enough today to shut all the windows.

Fall weather has already arrived here in Michigan.

  7. Ooh pretty, pretty Crystal. I love the colors you chose for your pillows!
Can’t wait to see them all done! Beautiful stitching!

    xo Paulette
